Sort of sad, when the conditions of American, American churches during this present
Falling Away of II Timothy 4:3,4, have become so bad that there are certain groups of
people in the churches with which you can not associate, with whom you dare not
associate, with whom you are admonished by the Scripture above "from such people
turn away".

You need to know more about these kinds of church members so you can recognize
them by their attitudes and habits, always remembering as also admonished in I John
4:1 to "test the spirits".  Would that every church member were born again and
struggles to righteously live like Christ; but unfortunately many do not, and
increasingly so during this unprecedented time of history called the Falling Away for
the Great Apostasy of church members, moreover they are even "proud" and
"boastful", habitually aggressive like they were running a business instead in a body of
Christ, about their bad habits {follies} and attitudes.

Self Centered.

2.  Desire to be Rich.

There are many ways the Bible prohibits church members and Christians from being
"lovers of money", the most obvious of which is that it is impossible as Jesus taught in
the Sermon on the Mount to serve {love is certainly serving} "God and mammon".
One of the least obvious is what the Bible teaches about greed and the desire to be
rich in I Timothy 6:9,10, yes also about the love of money.  Church members don't
have to have money in order to be lovers of money, only "desire to be rich"; and doing
so while still active in church membership, they become a bad apple or fig in the barrel
as their influence and vote counts on the side of:  (1) those who so quickly "fall into
temptation and a snare"; (2) those who love the world and the things in the world with
the lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life {I John 2:15-17}; (3)
those who fall "into many foolish and harmful lusts".  It is so hard in America, where
wealth, the getting of wealth and greed are admired, admonished and assumed as
natural to accept the warning to church members in America that they can so easily
once they "desire to be rich" to also "drown men in destruction and perdition".
These love of money on the part of church members has caused these church
members to "stray from the faith":  avoid their friendship, influence, and contact.
Greediness is as much a prohibited sin among Christians and other church members
as is adultery, murder, and the taking of God's name in vain.  As a matter of fact, it is a
violation of the last of the 10 commandments, "thou shalt not covet".  These loving
members of money have "pierced themselves through with many sorrows" although it
may not as yet be apparent:  when it is apparent and before, make sure you are not
there to go down with them!

3.  Have you heard what they have done, are doing, or will do?

4.  In their pride, what do they habitually brag about:  certainly not Christ or the Holy

5.  Blasphemers take the name of God and Christ in vain verbally, also by the
unrighteous lives that they live in constant violation of the 10 commandments.
Avoid These Church Members
According to II Timothy 3:1-8, you are to
avoid church members who exhibit these
characteristics of bad attitudes and habits.
The HOW-TO is your challenge!
"For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving,
slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong,
haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness
but denying its power.  And from such people turn away!"  (II Timothy 3:2-5)
